In Illustration class, we learned how to use scratchboard to make interesting arts. I made this frog on a piece of scratchboard and used Photoshop to color it in. He is an awesome frog. It looks like he’s giving a speech.

I finally got the camera to fly through my landscape! Then I had to wrestle with Blender to get it to render without crashing. I figured out that I could have it just render 100 frames at a time and then I put it together in iMovie. I’m still not sure why it kept crashing, but here it is in all its glory. My first real render with actual animation! Woohoo!
We got a new coffee table today and were breaking it in with some blackjack (using Starbursts as betting chips…yum) and I took a picture just for fun. It turned out to be a pretty cool picture.

I used http://obamiconme.pastemagazine.com/ to make an awesome picture in the style of the famous Obama vector image. Good times.

So my film came out mostly okay. The whole process wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be although it was still fairly nerve-wracking with all the time sensitive stuff. Really makes me appreciate digital so much more. I did like the part when the print goes into the developer and you get to watch the image slowly appear. Very cool.
My film developed well and almost all the pictures came out except one that looked funky. I got some water streaks on the negatives but they didn’t show up very much at all on the actual prints. I consider it a success. Hopefully the future assignments go just as well (with less water streakage, hopefully).
I took some pictures while hiking around in the woods. Here are my favorites:

In summary, it was a nice walk and the deer were friendly.
I found this on my computer. It’s from one of the first times I ever used Photoshop a couple of years ago. I still think it’s awesome, although I wasn’t the Photoshop Ninja I am now.

This is a tad late but here is my tiny purple Christmas tree with bonus attacking Mechagodzilla! It is both awesome and adorable. I think the wires in the background are a nice touch, too.

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I’m an art student at Marshall University. I’m going to use this blog to post my work. Hopefully you will think it is quite awesome.
